Pooch Test description and pictures

    The "pooch test" refers to detecting if a doe is pregnant by viewing her "pooch" or vulva area.

    This test is best done when the doe is 2-3 months post breeding though some can be detected earlier. You will notice that in the "before" pictures that the does anus is tucked up nicely under the tail but in the "after" its protruding out some and has dropped down a bit. Also her vulva is more elongated and teardrop shaped.

    If you would like for someone to do a pooch test on your doe please take pictures BEFORE breeding for a reference. Post both pictures and give dates for when they were taken.
