Usually, I can tell difference between 2 and 3 months along....at 2 weeks it's too soon for the hormonal changes to make a difference.

so I'll just go by heat cycles, If they end up being open 2-3 months along I wont have kids in time for 4-H.

Chances are that if they settled with the breedings 2-3 weeks ago, you'll be finding out very soon  IF they come into heat over the next week or so, can you rebreed them and still have kids in time for 4H?

If you would, could you update this post with pics of the same girls behinds in a few weeks and then at about 3-4 months along?, it could very well show the differences that are noticed when they settle. Would be helpful too for those in the same predicament. :)

yeah if they didnt take they'd be coming into heat today. which I dont see any flagging. thanks for reminding me!

I can update every month. so people could see how they change over their pregnancy. hoping for lots of kids.

they were scheduled to come into heat today, which they would if they didnt take the first cycle. but no heat today!!

you can tell by their backside if a doe is impregnated http://www.happytailzfarm.com/pooch_test_2.htm

LOL..... Do you think us "goat nuts" are the only ones that are constantly looking at our girls backsides?

BTW..... I'll share some of our rain, it's been steady now for the last 3 days! I hate the mucky yards and the yucky sheds.... goats are inside because of it :hair:
