ok major newbie here, i keep reading different threads that ask about their does being bred and looking for a pooch , what are you exactly looking for?? :help:
The area under a does tail will change once breeding and settling happens. I can tell a pregnancy once the doe is around 3 months by the way her "pooch" looks. An open doe's pooch is all neat and tucked while a pregnant does pooch is all soft and relaxed.
Well....since my first and only experience with a pregnant mare was just a month ago, I'd say yes, the goat pooch is just like a mare. My sister's mare was found to be "possibly" pregnant a month ago when her previous pasture mate foaled....we figured at least 2 months to see a baby, not! Tiggs foaled 4/20 with a colt.
