This is my 3 year old Nigerian Dwarf Snickers. Originally, my husband and I thought she had mites as we live in Maine and the winters are rough! However, now the flaky scabs have turned to hard, crusty scabs and she is rubbing all over everything. Nothing wrong with her appetite, behavior, just pretty gross looking. I'm looking for advice - is it ringworm..? If so, what forms of treatments to people recommend? I have read a lot and purchased Betadine and an anti-fungal cream. Thanks in advance for any advice :)

Looks more like mites. I'd do injectable Ivomec. I'd also scrape off the scabby stuff and put NuStock on.
I had read somewhere else to take off the scabs but they are firmly attached. After trying to peel one off it bled and my girl got angry. I couldn't peel any more off! I will do some more research into mites too! Trying to avoid having the vet come out if necessary!

Sometimes when you put the Nustock on, the scabs will soften up and come off the next day.
