I have a 3 year old Saanen that possibly has a UTI. She is grunting while peeing in the day and by the evening she's bleating while peeing. Besides the vet, are there any ways to diagnose that at home? Home tests?? And how would one go about treating that?
She is active, on feed, milking normal, temp of 101.8 this morning.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated. :)

Get some apple cider vinegar into her. Mix with a little water put it in a drench gun. Also I use a little ammonium choride powder mixed in the feed when I have problems with blockage.
The UTI infection might call for a different approach.

We feed 1TB ACV daily so I didn't think I'd have a problem with it!??
Where would I obtain alum. chlor. powder... a feed store?
I'm not sure that she has a UTI for sure. She just seems to be uncomfortable urinating. But it's a "normal pee" and she doesn't have any other symptoms.

I get mind at a feed store. If you gave it to her (about a half teaspoon daily for a week then hold off it may clear her up. There are more knowledged than I am on this forum that will chime in soon I hope.
