So how exactly would someone draw blood from a possibly pregnant goat to determine if they have taken?

I thought that I heard something about drawing blood from the jugular. Seems a bit risky?

It is perfectly safe to draw from the jugular, but should only be done under the guidance of someone experienced the first time. You can also find another view - legs are a good place to start. But these veins are super tiny and hard to thread a needle into. I have trouble and I've been doing it for years - I've even threaded IVs on humans. And put down a chicken! Talk about small veins!

Here's a website that has great pictures to show you how to draw...
