He is 7 month old Boar billy named Truffle. Today during feeding i noticed his chin is swollen I took pictures we don't have a vet close I will drive the forty minutes to the vet if need to just wanting some advice please and thank you The last picture is just a size reference he is the one on the right
Could he have gotten stung? I had a girl going crazy rubbing her face on everything. Couldn't figure out what was going on, the next day her jaw was swollen, went down 2 days later. Noticed there was a wasp nest near where she had been. The other thing could be bottle jaw which I believe is caused by anemia.
I can't help you with the lump (maybe @toth boer goats can?), but both kids pictured look pretty thin, especially for Boers. They are handsome boys BTW!
Yes that looks very much like bottle jaw (anemia). Check inner eyelid color ASAP. Would involve a vet if possible. Deworm!!! If eyelids are white may need some iron injections from a vet.
I agree with bottle jaw. B12 and iron daily with all the alfalfa they can eat. Worm asap. A vet would be advisable .
