I remember hearing a while back that pumpkin seed had deworming properties. Am I remembering correctly? Well with five pumpkins to carve with my family I figured we would save the seed and feed them to the goats. Does any one know how much to give them and how to prep the seeds for storage?

Just clean them and dry them (don’t cook them)

I give about a tablespoon or two daily.

And yes, great deworming properties.

Also, if you lay the the seeds on a sheet pan and add some molasses or cinnamon, let them cook until browned, makes a good treat for humans :)

They are helpful but remember they are not a stand alone dewormer.

It is said that Pumpkin seeds contain the amino acid called cucurbitin, which paralyzes and eliminates the worms from the digestive tract.
