These are some pictures that others requested in the "Welcome" section. We have two saanen does that have scurs. Are they removed successfully with bands? We have dehorned boers with bands before and it worked out well; but I've never dealt with scurs before. See the pictures. What do you think? Thanks for your help. These are our first 2 saanen does. One had kids 2 weeks ago (2 bucklings) and the other one is due mid-April. *I just added this new picture.* I just found this picture of Violet. She's so sweet! ~Shivonne~ Northern Illinois Raising Registered Saanens
Re: Question about scurs - pictures, too awe pretty girls yup scurs are even easier then horns - or so I hear.
Re: Question about scurs - pictures, too Vicki and Violet are looking wonderful Shivonne! They remind me so much of their mother The structure of scurs is much weaker than horns, so dealing with them with bands is also much easier
Re: Question about scurs - pictures, too They are so great, Sarah. We just love 'em! They have the best personalities; and the bucklings are the cutest things! We are really enjoying them!
Re: Question about scurs - pictures, too I'm so glad you're happy with them those little bucklings are just cute, they have the prettiest faces. The look just like their sire.
