I have a friend I sold a goat to and told her when she was ready I would use one of my bucks to breed her. Well we have been trying for two months. She tells me she is in heat and brings her over and I keep her a couple of days and see no signs of heat and she ignores the buck. She brought her over last night again and said her whether was going crazy and she was flagging but here nothing. Has anyone any expierence with this kind of problem and if so how did you fix it.. Thank You in advance.
Can you keep the doe with the buck for up to 21 days? Some does get stressed when they travel and almost turn off the heat. I have one doe that only flags when she is on her way out of heat! Another idea is to send the buck home with the doe until he breeds her. (Either option only works if you know your friend doesn't have diseases in her herd).
Yeah, the person isn't seeing heat correctly. Keeping the with the buck with the doe for a while will help get her covered.
