I have heard that using milk machines can 'ruin' a goats udder? Is this true?

If not, can someone suggest a good machine? I only have 2 ND does, maybe will expand to 3 or 4 eventually... so don't need anything fancy...

If used properly, a milking machine shouldn't but what type of milking machine are you talking about? The continuous pressure ones that are more of a hand milker can ruin an udder if you aren't careful.

I'm just looking for something that I can have on hand, for the days I don't feel like hand milking. I was thinking of the Maggidan milker, but I know absolutely nothing about this, so I'm not sure what to get.

I have a Maggiedan milker and it suites my needs. I actually do both.. One of my girls loves the machine, the other girl hates it.
