I'm thinking about offering my new buck for stud service. No boarding does or leasing the buck, just one-day breeding when the doe is in heat. First, what diseases should I require to doe to be tested for? Mine are tested for CAE, Brucellosis, TB, and they will be tested for CL this year. Second, I'm more concerned about something called infectious or septic arthritis that can be transmitted during breeding. If the buck gets it, it makes him sterile. What do you all know about this? Is it any significant risk?
