We bought this young boer buck. We put a marking harness on him. Well, he's wearing the white goats out, but he hasn't bred any of the colored ones. Has anyone seen anything like this? Will he grow out of it?
Make sure he is really not breeding the colored girls. I didn't think one of my paint does had been bred but when I went to trim her feet I then could see that she had been bred at some point. The chalk is very hard to see on darker animals. Purple has been the only color to really show up for black and red.
The does in question are red and have been through at least one, maybe two heat cycles. We're also not using chalk, but the paint stick thing. Every single white goat has been mounted. None of the red ones have been.
Remove the buck from all Does, until the colored Doe's come in heat, try putting the buck with each, one on one, when they come in heat and see if it helps.
