Hey guys. im very new to angora goats and im still researching them as i don't want to go in to anything blind. My dads a meat farmer (cows/sheep) but i want to try wool, he wont help me much as he thinks i need to do it alone...more to prove as im a girl apparently. i want to start with a few kids and build form there, im working on a budget. i want to work things out with a couple before going to scale. I have land, hay, sugar-beet everything in terms of looking after the animals but its the actual wool that stumps me. I know the cleaner better quality makes more and im willing to look after them and the paddock/fields i have clean, but im not sure how to clean the wool after they have been sheered for the better quality. id appreciate any help, also there's no one around me with angora goats or id ask them. Also is it worth me getting a buck? or travelling and hiring one i know is good breeding as i really want mine all from kids..
