It's that time of year again! The first kidding date is quickly approaching. I have 6 does kidding this year in March and April.
First up is my herd queen Brownie, bred to Bodhi. She will be 9 years old and on her 8th freshening. She likes to have between 2-4 kids. She's due March 10th. Here she is (right) with her daughter, Primrose. I'm thinking twins or triplets for her.

Next up is Red, bred to Bodhi. She will be 6 and on her 5th freshening. I don't know how many kids she has had with each freshening but last year was her first year kidding with me and she had triplets. I'm thinking she'll have triplets again. She's due March 19th.

Next is Mia. She will be a 1 year old FF. She was bred through the fence so I don't know who she is bred to. Her due date is March 24th. She is very fluffy so there's nothing to take an udder picture of yet. I'm thinking 1-2 for her. Clearly, pregnancy has not impacted her climbing ability.

Shortly after Mia we have Primrose. She is bred to Jake and due March 27th. She will be a 2 year old FF. She's pretty fluffy as well but her teats are starting to poke through. I'm thinking 2 for her.

Another sneaker! One big girl, you were right! 🙃🥰 How's Prim doing with being a mother?

Which buck did you breed her too? I can't remember.

She's doing great! She's very attentive. She wasn't of fan of having baby latch on at first but she's getting used to the idea. She was bred to Jake. This is the only purebred kid I am going to have from him this season.

Here's she is this morning, already galavanting around outside. She has quite the ears going on. She's also roaned. I'm not sure which side that came from but I'm going to guess it's from Prim. Prim's littermate brother was roaned so she very well could be hiding a few hairs somewhere that I haven't noticed. Baby girl is 6.8 lbs.

Are you planning on keeping her to see how she grows since she’s Jakes only purebred kid?

Thank you! These are all Kinders so she's a pretty normal sized baby. 😊 My little 5 lb babies are smaller than I'm used to dealing with. I may keep her as my butcher kid to evaluate her growth.

You'd love them even more in person! Bodhi is passing on his sweet personality ☺

My brother named Red's babies today. He decided we needed a Jelly to go with our Peanut Butter so the buckling is named Jelly. We stuck with our food theme and her doeling is named Honey.

Bunni has buck/doe twins so far! I'm not sure if she's done yet.

Sorry for the lack of updates. My household, including myself, has been extremely ill the last week and then two days ago Bunni developed preg tox so I've had my hands full. Bunni has been such a good girl about getting all her drenches. She's even being a good girl and going 4 days early for me. No one is allowed to tell her but her adherence to the doe code is making her treatment much easier. We are in the middle of a horrible blizzard right now but since she wanted to kid in horrible weather she had to go a few days early and save me the trouble of inducing her.
