Hello, My parents and Grandma are coming for a couple of hours this Sunday, and I'm thinking about making some pudding or some other little treat to introduce them to our new goat's milk. (We have now been goat owners for exactly a month, maybe even to the hour actually...!) Does anyone have any good recipes for pudding? Thanks.
Here's the chocolate pudding recipe I use for pies and just pudding. 2 c. goat milk 1/4 c. butter (I use goat butter) 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2/3 c. sugar 3 Tbs. baking cocoa 3 Tbsp. cornstarch 1 egg lightly beaten Combine sugar, cornstarch and cocoa in a saucepan. Gradually add the goat milk and beaten egg. Cook, stirring constantly over medium heat until it's thick and bubbly. Remove from heat and add the butter and vanilla, beat til creamy. Chill in individual servings or pour into a grahm cracker crust and chill.....saran wrap over it will prevent a "pudding skin" Vanilla pudding is the same, except decrease the sugar by 1/4 cup and the butter by 1 Tbs. and of course omit the baking cocoa. This is a super easy and quick recipe...it takes longer to chill it than to make it.
