Where do you like to buy your red top blood tubes from? I only have four goats to test so I'm looking to buy the smallest amount possible. Secondly, I see that supposedly they expire, are they really only good for a year?

I’ve seen red-top tubes on Amazon but I don’t know if they have small amounts...

I order from Jeffers but with only needing a few..talk to your vet, see if he will sell you a few.
I heard about the expiration thing. I need to see how that works. I have a paramedic friend who uses expired tubes to pull blood from her goats. Worked fine.

I buy from Jeffers too. Not sure about expiration, but as long as they hold the vacuum seal I’d think they’d be ok. The red top tubes don’t have any anticoagulants in them like some other tubes do.
