I bought a full blooded, 100% Boer nanny today. I also got the papers on her. She is bred to a full blooded, 100% Boer buck, I have a copy of his papers. Is it worthwhile to transfer her and also register her kids when they come? I know nothing about registration, I just got a deal I couldn' turn down. Actually, I had planned to never buy another Boer as they do not fare as well as the other breeds I've had.

I'm assuming theyre registered with different associations?

I do not know if ABGA does transfers, but USBGA does, for free, you can transfer the doe, or register the kids normally and just give them the ABGA reg for the sire.

Don.... Congrats on you boer doe....I personally love them .....

Was she ...already registered....and that is what you mean by transferring? Putting her into your name?

Yes it is worth doing...when she kids ....she may have a baby... that is one in a million and worth keeping or selling as registered for good money..... you also have the choice.. if she has a doe kid ...that isn't quite the show doe ect...that you can sell unregistered...so it opens 2 doors...
