So for those of you who have more than one breed of goat. How do you count them? Like I am going to be on kid Z3 next for my Nigerians, when my LaMancha kids do I count her kids as Z3 or do I start with Z1 again?

I number each kid in order. Doesn't matter breed, registered or not. If you decide to later register say your Lamancha with AGS and she's ADGA and you used Z3 with a Nigerian in AGS then you will have lots of problems. I know the tail web will help but its easier to just assign one number to one goat and a different number to the next.

Ditto what SGM said. I count every kid, wethers (even though we don't register them) and counted the "Pygerians" we had born last spring.

All my goats are registered with ADGA, so each goat has to have a different tattoo number whatever the breed. In my herd, I only assign numbers to goats able to be registered, so wethers aren't assigned a number, nor are grade bucklings.
