My friend's goat got into her rhubarb patch last spring and died from poisoning. I think it is on both lists on the Fiasco Farm site because there are reports of some goats eating it and being ok. I'm not sure if that has to do with how much/how little the goats ate, the variety of rhubarb, the time of year it was eaten.....who knows, but I would think it much safer to err on the side of caution. I have always wanted to plant a rhubarb patch here, but never will just to be safe...
many people here have said they've had goats die from eating the leaves.
if you search the forum, there are lots of threads on poisonous plants on goats, and people's experiences with them. some goats seem tolerant to some poisonous plants (mine eat avocado without issues), and some don't.
