Kiwi was my second goat I ever owned. Even though she passed away a few years ago, I still visit her grave and let her know that she is still thought of. Kiwi died from a severe form of mastitis. The vet wanted to amputate her udder but said she would never be the same. I decided it would be better to put her down due to the fact she was in so much pain. I learned a valuable lesson from Kiwi's death. It is very important to sanitize and to clean anything that you are using for milking. I still beat myself up over Kiwi's death because I know it could have been prevented.
