So we finished the last show of our show season last weekend. It is a MGR sanctioned show that my best friend and myself host. The whole herd went and we did well I would say. We had a turn out of approximately 85 goats for all 3 shows. Biggest accomplishment of the weekend was finally getting a point on my Senior Platinum Wether who is 2.5 years now! He took overall grand and I could not be prouder! My junior Platinum Wether til reserve grand and a couple reserve champions. One doe got reserve Junior Champion while my other girls are still recovering from kidding this spring (just on pasture and minimum grain)and where not in top shape. My keeper doeling was top of her class in show 1, but has to switch age classes due to turning 6 months. My home bred buckling placed in the top 5 of his class in all 3 shows as well as my 3 adult bucks making it to the drive all 3 shows. Plus, my niece who just started showing showmanship won Grand showman in the 1st show and was reserve the other 2. I could care less on how my goats did, but the smile on her face when she won Grand Showman was enough for me!
