Well, I thought I had a good burn, but my nubian buckling is starting to get scurs. I think I waited a trifle too long. The doelings seem to be fine, but they were a bit smaller.

Can I just clip those scurs occasionally, using the pincer type clippers?

scurs usualy grow later after you think all is fine. If you see the nubs growing then they are horns and although they may not be perfectly formed horns they will grow thick like a horn but probably be stunted looking.

What I would do is burn him again

I would burn again too. Scurs can be managed, but it's much better if you don't have to deal with them.
