I'm brainstorming here and was curious as to if any of you have any suggestions on self seeding pasture I could plant. The area I will be moving to is the piedmont area of North Carolina. I want something that I can throw out and not have to sow. Something that will be hardy and I don't have to baby it to get it to grow and of course something that does not have to be re seeded every year and is good for goats and cows. Any ideas?

I would look into the natural grasses and plants in that area. We have had good luck with just the horse pasture mix from TSC. We just over seeded a couple years in a row and then it would take over. But native grasses and plants would probably work better.
