I was wondering if anyone knew the laws on selling dairy products in Oregon? I'm mainly concerned with milk (raw or pasteurized), cheese and soap. I've never sold any before, just kept everything for my own use, but have some interest from people I know in buying this year.

P.S. Don't Google milk laws...I got a link to laws about breastfeeding in public.

I never market any milk for human consumption and I think that's a general in Oregon. There are a few raw goat dairies up here but I know they have to go through hoops to sell the milk. I don't know of specific laws. If I have extra milk I market it as "craft only" or for animal consumption.

Soap there is no rule against - or at least there better not be! That would be just plain silly. ;)

Cheese cannot be sold without a dairy license.

If you check with Gianaclis at Pholia Farm she will likely know all the details. :)
