I am hoping to get a 8 wk old buckling shipped to me that is in NY. What company is best to ship with? I looked into Delta Pet Cargo and it was $400; it that in the normal price range?

    Thanks :)

DON'T use Delta. They almost killed two goats I shipped in.

Best price is through American Airlines, ship as baggage. Usually about $200

Depends on states and state health rules, but at least a health certificate is needed, i think dated within a week of the goat leaving.

ok, I will check the NY rules then... are there any other airlines besides AA? It looks like they don't have any flights for the dates i had set...if not I just have to reschedule.

    Thanks :)

With AA you need to call them to arrange flights. They are the only airline I trust to ship goats.

I used continental. It was good service, it's $149. for 0-71 lbs and $303 for 72-100 lbs
    That's goat + crate/bedding.

    That is a great price!
Do you have the number for continental? Is that shipping as baggage?
    Thanks

I used Delta for a 3 month old buck from OR to IL, no problems except it was really expensive. I've used AA twice on three animals and they are great. You'll have to check and see if they can still ship animals this time of year though because they usually don't ship if its over 85 degrees out :(
