What would be good to plant along the fence line. My plan is for the plants/shrubs to be basically out of reach, but you know how those goatie lips are so agile. I am also trying to be on the cheap and use excess of what I have around the yard already.. I have a ton of old fashioned lilacs. Now, are these toxic? or just the flowers? or what.. I also have vine maples, some cedars, phlox, day lilies, lavender... any input is much appreciated!
I have multiple lilacs around our pens, goats love them, none have gotten sick...though i try to keep them out of the trees! I have have spruce tree saplings, wild iris, and snapdragons in the flower beds in front of the pens.
