Sick 1yr old doeling.

Woke up this morning and one of my 1 yr old doelings was acting lathargic. I took her temp and it was 106.6. While taking her temp I noticed that she had a yellow/green discharge coming from her vagina (I have yet to breed her). My mentor recommended banamine and penicillin. She's eating and she's a little more active but still not her normal self. I had a fecal done and all is well. I just checked her temp again and it's 106.4. Has anyone ever seen anything like his before?

Penicillin should be done twice a day. How do her lungs sound? Do B Complex and probiotics. Probiotics either a couple hours before or after penicillin.

What is her weight and how much penicillin and banamine did you give. You may want to put cold compresses on her head/ neck area to help reduce fever… which is quite high…

If she doesn't seem better in 24 hours, grab Tylan 200. (1 cc per 25# sub q 2 x a day) Sometimes penicillin doesn't cut it.
Penicillin dose is 1 cc per 20 pounds sub q 2 x a day
Banamine is 1 cc per 100 # sub q
Be sure to pull back the plunger and check for blood. No blood is good to go .see blood..re adjust and try again. Penicillin in the vein can kill a goat.

Best wishes
