Just back from hanging out with my 8 yr old doe, who was lazing in the sunshine chewing her cud as she likes to do in the afternoon, but today I noticed that she was chewing with a side-to-side motion and not with a more or less straight up-and-down motion like I think she did before, and as the youngsters do. Just wondering if she might have sore or missing teeth? Her face is symmetrical, not swollen; she still likes her cheek skritches; she's eating lots, pooping plenty, acting her good old self, and has nice body condition--"3" on the scale, I'd say (she's supposed to be dried off and possibly newly pregnant). I'm hesitant to stick my fingers in her mouth to have a look, because last time my finger was in a goat's mouth, it didn't go well (finger still not fully healed a week and a half later)! Is there anything I could be doing to find out, or just keep an eye on her as I'm doing?
Thanks!
