I have googled testing soil for Johnes and have come up blank.... does anyone have a link with more information on how to have your soil tested? Thanks in advance.
In California call 559-688-1731 ask for the California Animal Health and Food Safety Laboratory in Tulare Ca, this goverment supported (so the cost is lower) lab does johnes testing in cattle and can tell you where you might be able to test soil for johnes (but I have not heard of soil testing, just manure and blood). Also if you have an livestock animal that is sick or dead and you want to know what it died from they will test it for you (California Only). Please bring in the dead or sick animal, medications given, as well as a feed sample. Good luck.
