So, ultrasound results came back for Pickles. No baby, no nothing. She is however, big and healthy enough to breed with no problems. She weighs 143, a far cry from the 90-ish that she weighed when I bought her. He loved her build, not so much her personality (she's not a personable goat, despite showing as a baby).

So, even though she's not expecting soon, she came into standing heat yesterday and looked to be successfully bred (it helps that you can smell Magnum a mile off). My guess is that she's had a few false heats over the summer, she's been with Magnum since February and will be two in April without a single detectable heat until yesterday.

In other news, the aggressive boer buck will be humanely butchered this week. It's a shame, too, he's slowly starting to look like a perfect copy of his sire, but the attitude hasn't changed.
