Hey, guys! Seems like forever since I've passed through here. Hope everyone is doing well and surviving kidding season.
We have decided to reduce down to 16 goats total, including a buck and our pet Willie. It's been hard to choose who is going, but we need to get down in size. We almost completely sold out, but decided to stay in.
The county goat association is taking up more of my time than I thought. They voted to have monthly meetings! I wanted quarterly ones. Oh well, after December, I'll be relieved of my duties. :)
Brad is working hard as usual. We are using 3 fields for hay and he's also getting hay off another...25 or more acres from our neighbor. He'll stay busy all summer.
Our kiko kids are growing better than our boers. We attribute it to the hardiness of the kiko and being able to hang with last year's drought and all the weather changes.
Our 2 little pygmy boys are absolutely wonderful! They still sound like kittens.
Badger, our guard dog with Addison's disease, is doing great. Once we sent our pygmy doe Lucy to her new home, his hair started growing back. She's now nibbling her new owner's hair. Too funny.
We've moved the herd to a back field amongst the trees and brush and the hills. It's building muscle and they love their meal choice. I'll be updating the info on what we have for sale soon. But we've reduced prices greatly if you are near us and are in need of something.

Good to see you guys!

Wonderful to hear from you Julie. Glad you are staying with them if even on a smaller scale.... but i to have felt the need to scale down a bit....by 2 or 3 so I can understand.

I am so pleased to hear you dog is doing well, I know that was a rough patch for you with him.
