I am sure this has been asked before, but it is hard to search for.

My new little doeling, born last night about 9. She was born at the vet clinic with no complications. I stuck around there until she had suckled. Just a little but it seems fine.

Got her home last night and I have checked on her. She was sleeping.

This morning she is thin, not a big baby belly. I took her to mom and she suckled a bit, but not long.

I milked mom out a little, her bag did not seem overly full but she is a ff. Mom was really good about letting me milk her. I tied mom up and let May nurse, but she did not latch on for long.

She is a single, I don't know if that matters.

I have not taken her temp yet.

watch that sucking reflex -- if she looses it she may need a shot of BoSe and then tube feed till it comes back.

My vet called to check in. She suggested I get baby up every hour and take hr to her dam. I have done that and she seems to be getting stronger. But is very hungry when I her so I wonder if she going on her own.

Let me get this straight ...is the baby out with mom and you are going out and putting the kid on mom's teat ? If so ...have you felt the tummy ..is it full or empty?
The way you worded it ...is a little confusing...sorry..
