We had a nice barn built this summer and I have a milking/work room that is 10x10. We had concrete pored for that room and our storage room. I'm looking for suggestions for the milking room floor. I'm not really liking the concrete floor. It's really hard to sweep clean. I've thought of adding in some rubber stall mats. Any suggestions?
We use a really stiff bristled broom to sweep our rough concrete. That and putting a little back into it is all the works. There are finishes that you can do to the concrete to smooth it out but that may be more money and work than you want to do. You can also put down some type of linoleum flooring. Stall mats however are the easiest quickest option I can think of.
