I have goats and sheep, and I also found a new feed store that carries these items. They have a loose mineral mix for goats/sheep and a sweetlix block for goats and sheep. I've been using the mineral tubs, which they like but they don't have salt in them, so I bought salt blocks, and I've seen a few animals lick the salt blocks. The loose would be cheaper and if I got a 50 lbs bag that would last quite awhile. The goats weren't eating the loose free choice, but they recently got the hang of it... so pros and cons on either? I copper bolus the goats, so they get the copper as well as their feed will have some copper too.

Loose minerals are best, they can take what they need much easier.

Also, please be aware that ANYTHING listed for sheep AND goats does not contain enough copper for goats, you may need to use copper boluses or place a goat specific mineral in an area that only the goats can access.

Cool, thanks Liz. It is cheaper anyway:)

I also stated above that I do copper bolus the goats, so that is taken care of:)
