I have Boer goats and one of them has an abscess on her hoof that i am treating. Would that make her put her tail down instead of up?

Thanking y'all in advance.

Cool weather can also bring the tail down...wind, flies..anything that pesters them

how is she other wise? any temp? eating, drinking, pooping berries, peeing ok..active bright eye and alert?? Also check for anemia ...if all looks well then no need to worry ;)

Everything is good. That's what is confusing. I had a fecal done two weeks ago and she had worms. Vet prescribed panacur. Gave her that then her tail went down a week later. Going to give her follow up panacur next week as per vet. I will keep my eye on her.

And keep a eye on her temp and make sure she doesn't get a infection. Maybe with the worms wormer and her foot she just doesn't feel 100%

Tail down is a pain response as well.
