Definitely wanting a house rabbit! And honestly all of that info is perfect. I’ve found a couple places with Holland lops and Netherland dwarfs already, and theyre the breeds I had my eye on without even knowing they were the best for my situation! Are you wanting a house rabbit? If so, female would fit best. Males tend to kick their legs up and sling pee every where.....So you definitely don't want your walls getting painted lol.
If your getting a house rabbit Lops and Netherlands dwarfs are some of the best house rabbits ever. They have great maners and are absolutely awesome! They are gentle and calm. My house rabbit is a Holland lop and she's great! We have two other house rabbits ( who are Netherlands). We have many rabbits....all but 3 are outside and one of the ones in our house will be moveing outside in about a month or so because he is a young male.
Rabbit care is well, pretty much one of the easiest things ever lol.
All they do is eat, poop, pee, play and sleep. Then repeat lol. All you have to do is feed them, give them attention and clean their cage/pen and your good!
Also make sure if you get one that it is very young. It takes a lot to get them to bond with you like a cat or a dog would. So make sure it's around 7-9 weeks old.
What I do is feed them out of my hand, and slowly try to pet them. If they run, then let them. Try again. And repeat untill they let you pet them. Then start slowly trying to pick them up. Remember, when picking up rabbits they DO NOT like being held up in the air. So always keep them close to you to avoid getting scratched AND make sure you support their whole body. They all lightin up after having them. It just takes them awhile to get used to new things. But working slow and steady is the best thing to do with a rabbit. Hope this helps!!Definitely wanting a house rabbit! And honestly all of that info is perfect. How would someone go about bonding with a bun? I’ve heard they are somewhat like cats and get temperamental if they aren’t in the mood for pets.
