cannot be mistaken. YUCK! Our buck (the rookie) was with our doe tonight and had not much of clue what to do. She even turned around for him and started backing up. Do they HAVE to have experience? Our other buck bred her at 8 months of age with no problem. Experience please?

HE will get it. I have bred several bucks at the age of 8 months. Give him a little time with her. Leave them together if you can.
And OH yea, that smell is unmistakable. :applaud:

Just give him more time with the doe - if he smells you know he is ready and with NDs 8 months old is plenty old enough lols! Nature will take over - in all my years I have never not had one figure it out (no matter what breed) by 8 months old.
