monsanto is a seed company in missouri, i think, that sells their genetically altered corn to farmers that plant major amounts of crop for world food supply or fuel or whatever
the farmer has to sign a contract stating that they will buy seeds from monsanto every year at a hefty price and not use seed from this years crop to plant next years crop
if they do monsanto will sue them for breaking the contract and they will lose everything
they have a patent on that particular corns genetics
with cross pollinization by bees and whatnot every farmer has the chance of "picking up" monsantos' genetics and being sued
    horrendously futuristic and controlling, right?
not even close to whats coming
now they say they have the "rights" to a certain genetic in pigs that makes them more meatier than average pigs
they are trying to get a patent on that particular genetic
(they are trying to "own" the worlds food supply)
but there is a french reporter that is trying to prove that, whatever that gene is that it is naturally occuring in all swine
once they get the patent on pigs
    cows will be next
    then goats
and so on and so forth
    ...hello big brother...
