Thoughts on these Boer Bucks?

I posted in the meat section months ago about trying to decide which buckling's to keep and which to sell. I posted about 4 Boer bucks... guess what? We still have them lol. They just turned 5 months old on Sunday and weigh 114lbs-141lbs. All born on Dec 30th, from 2 sets of triplets born at the same time, 1 from each set of brothers was a bottle baby that my daughter raised.

We try to have a buddy system especially for young goats. So we plan to take them in pairs to shows. Problem is we don't know which 2 we should take. My daughter wants to take 2 to one show, and take 2 others to another show, etc. - because we have 4 possible county fair shows we can attend at the end of June.
She pulled them out yesterday evening to walk them on show collars - which it's been a long time since she's pulled them out so I am proud of how well they behaved! If all goes well she'll also be showing at 2 different ABGA/JABGA shows the end of July. As for the 'buddy' that goes along I am hoping her friend will want to show one, find someone toe help or I'll show 1 if it's not youth/nobody else to volunteer lol.

Would love some opinions on them.

Eli - bottle baby, weighs 114lbs. He had a leg injury a while back and spiked with cocci count, so that set him back a bit, but since recovering and fecal has been good he has really been catching up to the others.

Maverick - Eli's brother - dam raised. 118lbs. This guy has been consistent in his growing, he has gained some massive bone recently in his front legs. Not real wide chested, but he just seems to be really well balanced and eye appealing. He's honestly been one of my favorites since he was born, super sweet boy.

Danny - bottle baby, weighs 118lbs. This guy is really impressing me more each day, he has a gorgeous head and is finally starting to fill out.

Renegade - Danny's brother - dam raised. 141lbs. This guy is thick from head to butt, he also has great bone. I honestly don't think we've ever had a kid as thick with this much bone at this age.

Any thoughts on them would be appreciated.

Danny would be my 1st pick. Hes balanced with a little more back end, better twist. More balanced than the other 3.
Maverick would be my second choice. Hes has little loose skin in his walk With more work, he could tighten up and be better.
They are all nice heavy young bucklings. Youve done really well with all 4 of them.

Thanks so much everyone I appreciate your opinions! We love these silly boys, they are good, sweet brats. Our county fair is on June 17th, and then there are shows we can go to on the 24, 26, 28 and 30th I believe. I don't want to overstress them so maybe we'll hit a few of those later shows and mix it up a bit :)

Just curious, are you leaning toward any of them?

Honestly it's so hard lol But I do love Maverick and Ren. But Danny I feel is really coming on and so is Eli. Eli hurt his leg a couple of months ago and was in a lot of pain, we never could figure it out, we worried maybe he needed more selenium so dosed him and it could have been that, or maybe he stepped on some wire that I found in their pen? Who knows. He developed a high cocci count when I did fecal - he looked awful honestly so I suspected maybe stress from pain could have caused it. Got him treated and when we treat 1 we treat everyone in that pen. Since then he has been catching up and blossoming. He is my daughters favorite, so when it comes show day I may let her decide what she wants to do. I'd love to take 3 to our county fair, but that means we'd have to leave 1 behind :(

She has a little red buck she wants to show, but he can only go to 2 shows next month because he ages up into the 3-6 mo class on the 18th of June - our county fair is 17th lol. These guys age into 6-9 class on June 30th and we have another show we can go to that day. But then they will stay in their classes through the rest of the summer. I need to get pictures and/or video of him to show you all and get your thoughts. He is a slower grower, but is really coming on now. I think he has a nice style to him. He has not been lead trained or even stepped foot on the goat stand yet, but hoping to finally get everyone in routine for lead training and washing/conditioning on Fri. We have been bathing Maverick and Danny once a week and were conditioning Maverick's coat every 2-3 days along with a couple of does but got off track this week. It's only about 70 degrees out, rainy and dreary not a good day to get a goat wet :(

I am having a hard time deciding as well, no wonder you are asking, hehe. :)
Aww thanks guys I appreciate it! We love these silly boys so much, they are all so different and all have different personalities. Danny I admit is such a big baby, his voice melts my heart and those sweet eyes. Ren is naughty but has a sweet side, he cracks me up! Eli is just out there... he tries to play innocent, but we know better lol! he is my daughters baby and she is his mom and he loves her, it's adorable. Maverick is the outcast, haha. He's a weird guy at times, but is very sweet and social. Usually when we are out with them, Danny and Eli run to my daughter for scratches, and Maverick and Ren follow me like lost puppies. So Emotional attachment is a big player here. But I sure feel like these guys are coming along.

My daughter got her 11 week old buck kid out today to work with him and I grabbed a quick video. This is 2nd time working on a halter, and f1st with the prong collar added. Normally we don't rush the prong collar, but our county fair show is in less than 2 weeks. This guy was weaned last week and weighed last week at just a little over 70lbs. He's such a joy to be around, very social and loves people.
My daughter just FINALLY gave him a barn name lol.... Winston!

Thanks Pam I appreciate it!

Hopefully these guys do well for my daughter. She's liking the idea I gave her on if 2 of these guys show well, use them for breeding, then sell everyone after showing or breeding (and some does), and use the $$ this fall to invest in a nice doe that is possibly pregnant and a young doe she can raise and show next year that away she can bring in some new blood. We have never used a home bred buck before, so we'll see what happens. Although I do think the dam of the dapple boys will possibly be bred to an outside buck, ideally I'd like to send 2 to an outside buck. I told her if the kids aren't what we are hoping for, then she can sell them to buy a new buck and another new doe next spring. She is 14 so I'd love for her to really improve next year. This year we've just been so swamped trying to get things done around here. So the ultimate goal for my daughter as I see it is have these guys and her does ready for end of July ABGA shows and our state fair in Aug, then this fall and next spring work on improving her herd :)

That plan for your daughter sounds very well thought out and effective. Cannot wait to see how things progress! Your program is fantastic.

Thanks so much I appreciate it! :) The first show is Thursday - our county fair. I'm not sure yet how many we will take, I'm still trying to find out if they are going to let us use pens as that will definitely affect how many we take. My daughters friend is going to help her show. I will say I'm confused about Maverick, he is such a nice buck, but he just doesn't look very big right now? We weighed them the other day and Maverick was 120lbs, he had stayed ahead of Eli and Danny but now both of those boys are 125lbs. (Ren 152lbs! FAT BOY lol). He and Eli had previously had some cocci in their fecals, so we have been staying on top of preventative treatment. I did fecals yesterday and Maverick had nothing, his sample was perfect. So I don't know what is up with him. I do worry that maybe the others are bullying him, but these guys do get along really well and are all eating. So I'll reweigh him in a week and see where we are.
