Hello I have a 3 week old Boer buck that is trying to breed his sister. Is that possible? I definitely don’t want anything to happen between now and weaning time. This is my first kidding season so I’m not sure what to do in this situation. Anyone had this happen before?

That’s normal behavior for bucklings. As long as they aren’t extending, then they’re fine.

Mounting is a completely normal behavior, just dominance play, no need to worry at all.

Ok thanks so much! This is my first year raising goats so I’m learning the ropes. I was getting a little worried!

Mine are pretty much born doing that. We pull bucklings at 8 weeks old as most can extend by that time.

    Normal for a buckling.
    Some start young practicing.
I wouldn't worry if he isn't bringing it out. ;)
