I looking at purchasing goats for the first time. We are starting with 5 Nubians (it was going to be 3 but the person offered me the most recent babies to one of the does and how could I say no when I built space for eventually having way more) anyways, I need to pick them up, I have a full sized van, its about a 2 hour drive, its 2 full sized does and a buck with two younger ones 4 months old... should I plan 2 trips? I am thinking two trips, I have been asking around for a livestock trailer but having a hard time with that.

The kids would have to be put in a big enough shipping crate so they can lay down comfortably, get up and be able to turn around. And not be beaten or bred.

If you don’t want the mature does bred, they should be separated from the buck.
Although, you should separate anyway as he may try to breed them and they may not be in season and run from them causing a Ruckess which could get really dangerous trying to drive.
