Started teaching the boys to be ridden today. Bareback so far, but will be training them to wear a mini horse saddle, the type they make for little (two legged) kids. Will take pics one day when I get time lol At the moment they are lugging me around (poor buggers) so I think they will be quite happy to get some kids on their back. But I didnt want to put my nephews on them till I was sure they were going to behave.
Corax ... thanks heaps for the offer but I'm in Australia ... (you might have forgotten) so its probably not feasible to borrow your saddle ... but if you ever wanted to sell it and the shipping worked out okay I'd be interested ... they are hard to get around here. My friend has ONE, but ideally for what we do we would like 2 - 4. I'm not looking forward to using the saddle lol I'm a bareback kind of person goats are a surprisingly comfortable ride and (I gotta brag here) my 2 yr old boys are actually dealing with being ridden (and carrying my weight which is a lot) better than my friend's 5 yr old  sorry for that brag lol I just had to, I'm very proud of my boys
Okay, so lets talk saddles. The ones I can get here in Oz are: http://www.kingstons.net.au/category154_1.htm http://www.horseswarehouse.com.au/category77_1.htm Also a few from US http://stores.shop.ebay.com.au/Frontier ... ec0Q2em322 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Old-Small-Heavil ... 7C294%3A50 Pros and cons? Which type would you prefer?
