OK, I am trying to breed my boer mix girls, I found a very handsome male. I have rented him for 3 weeks, He is in with the girls now. However for some reason NOTHING is going on!!! The girls have NEVER been around a intact male, and they are all over him, but he just chases them away or ignores them. He seems more interested in eating and sleeping. Once in a while he will seem to show interest in one, walk along side her and then sniff her but then walk off. Is there something Im, they are doing wrong? Its only been a couple days but from what I expected from what I have read I thought they would be more active. :(

If he's a Boer Buck, he'll more than likely conserve his energy until they start to come into heat. He's checking them, so all sounds normal to me.

He's just checking them out. Your does most likely have not come into heat yet, until they do the buck won't breed them. Boers seem to be really good at knowing when it is the right time and they will breed her then, most activity will most likely take place at night too.
