I am going to get some hay this afternoon and wanted to find out what everyone uses and how they like it. I am currently feeding free choice Coastal and Alfalfa twice a day. I plan on keeping the alfalfa, but was thinking of trying a cheaper free choice hay if I could. Any suggestions?
I also feed a little alfalfa, the goats love it! The majority of what I feed is a timothy orchard mix, the goats seem to do very well on it.
I usually change it around for them, tifton, coastal, peanut... trying something new now, called grass and weeds... looks pretty good with a lot of leafy weeds along with the normal grasses... they really like it....
Ok thanks, I decided to try something new this time too. I am going with alfalfa/blue stem mix. I like the looks of it to. We will see how they like it.
