My doe kidded back in April. And has been nursing two kids since then. A couple weeks ago one side of her udder dried up. Before then her udder was 'equal'. She's a FF and had trips (one was stillborn).

I am concerned that it may be mastitis. :worried:

What do you all think?

    Thanks!

get some test strips (can use teh ones for cows) and find out :)

another reason could easily be that the one kid wasnt nursing enough on the one side so seh just dried up

I agree, those twins were likely using the one side more than the one that dried up, but just in case, I would see about tesating for mastitis.

Now that I think about it, nothing was out of the ordinary. I had to help one of the kids nurse and I had used that side and there had been nothing wrong with the milk.
I think I may test her just in case and try to milk her out now that her kids are weaned.
