So I set a bunch of chicken eggs a while back in my incubator, right?

Some came from a nest one of my brats hid on the ground, no big deal.

    Well, this hatched.

    That's not a chick!

Looks like my poor late Khaki Campbell hen snuck an egg into that nest.

We're going to turn it into a pet, it sure is a cute little bugger. The daddy would have to be a Saxony drake, seeing as the only other drake I have is a Muscovy and he lives on the pond with the geese.

    :slapfloor: thats funny
our ducks just started laying eggs again the other day- its like easter- one here one there, mostly in the horse paddocks
We had one sit on her nest last year and she hatched 10 ducklings- the other females didnt bother sitting on their eggs, they just left them wherever they felt like it I guess

Yeah, crazy ducks. The hen that laid this egg was a Khaki Campbell, they're not good settings. She got herself eaten by a coon, so its sort of neat I hatched one of her eggs.

Ducklings are too cute and too messy. I hatched out 20 ducks 4 months ago. I'm so glad that they're gone now. Poop was everywhere. It wouldn't be so bad if I had a pond for them. Too bad they didn't stay that little
