just an update on copper shes up and moving around all be it very stiffly . we've been giving her b-12 shots and la 200 along with the probios and electrolytes in the water. she's slowly getting better. never did find a vet in our area that would see her. grrr.so its all trial and error on our part as to figure out what had to be done. we were supposed to worm her again today but i think i'll wait till friday and see how she's doing. thanks so much for everyones helpfull advice.

why do you say she was suppose to be wormed today? Just curious because you should always worm 7-10 days after your first worming to catch the eggs that hatched and so keep from them repeating the cycle.

I would worm her -- it might actually help her at this point.

Check her lower eyelids - are they pale looking?

Depending on what dewormer you are using I would probably still deworm.

Yup i would worm her too, it will probably help take some of the stress off her imune system. Worms have an incubation period of ten days. so if there is a heavy load you want to worm her again.

If she is really wormy you may want to add some red cell to her water. Make sure its the horse kind. Some red cell they add a beef extract to.
