My 5 month old saanen doe has bottle jaw and is pretty anemic. i took a fecal sample to the vet, and they said they found a couple eggs, but nothing that had to be treated. I am at a loss of what’s happening to her, so here’s a list of her symptoms and hopefully you guys can give me some input.

-Diarrhea (not runny!! she has Clumpy dog poo like droppings)

    -Bottle jaw

    -light pink eyelids (anemic)

-i think she might have fish tail (picture attached)

I’m just clueless at this point. if she had barber pole, cocci, or anything of the sort wouldn’t it have showed up in her fecal?? I’ve tried almost everything and am at a loss.
    Thanks in advance!!

Worm eggs are shed in cycles..so this fecal may not show a true condition of worm count. This is why using over all condition, famancha along with fecal to get the full picture is important as you have done.

Treating the anemia will treat the bottle jaw. De worming is necessary even though fecal showed low count.

Can you post a photo of her eye lids? Her tail is fishy to me, which means selenium. I hate to say it but I wouldn't go by one fecal. I would get second opinion.

And, as always, what is her temperature?

    What is her diet like?
What minerals do you use and are they free choice?
Did you worm her before the fecal and what did you use?

I'd no matter what, start with selenium and a redcell protocol and give her a copper bolus straight away and make sure her diet has extra protein to combat the anemia while you're getting everything else sorted.

Fishtail means copper, turned down/crooked means selenium.
