My buckling has some urine scald - no open wounds, but the hair is missing in two patches on the back side of his front legs, and he has missing patches on areas of his face where his cheeks are.

Is this something that needs to be treated , or just monitored? It's my first time dealing with this so any and all advice is much appreciated!

Wash with mild soap or 50/50 water and vinegar and apply vasoline.

Vaseline does wonders! One of my bucks had a terrible bout of urine scald this year and I found out that it really pays to stay on top of it. They can pee off the Vaseline very quickly so reapply frequently. I also found that it helped to shaved off any hair they are peeing on. This way the pee runs off instead of soaking in.
